안녕하십니까? 주한미국대사관 아메리칸센터 (ACK) 입니다.

American Cinema Evenings (대사관 영화 토론) 행사에 귀교의 대학생을 초대합니다.

매달 열리는 대사관 영화토론 행사가 7월에는 15일 금요일에 “The Pursuit of Happyness (행복을 찾아서, 2006)”을 상영합니다.

영화 관람후 미대사관 외교관과 함께 영어로 주제를 토론하는 시간을 갖습니다.

7월 행사안내

날자 : 2016년 7월 15일 금요일 오후 17:00 – 19:30

장소 : 용산구 남영동 10번지, 아메리칸센터 (American Center Korea)  - (약도 첨부참조)

연사 : Joel Keralis, PA Assistant, U.S. Embassy Seoul

주제 : Contemporary issues shared between the United States and Korea

영화  : The Pursuit of Happyness (행복을 찾아서, 2006)

• This biopic focuses on the story of a San Francisco salesman named Chris Gardner and his struggles to overcome poverty, homelessness, and a failing marriage. It presents a classic example of the realization of the American dream through hard work and determination, including the sacrifices and hardships that this attainment sometimes requires. The issue of homelessness and the challenges presented to the poor and minorities by contemporary American society remain the same today, encouraging discussion on the prospect of finding good jobs and socioeconomic advancement.

ACE 영화 프로그램은 매달 국제관계, 지역현안, 역사, 미국학, 문학, 환경, 인터넷, 현대공연예술 등 다양한 주제를 놓고서 미국 외교관과 영화 감상 후 영어로 함께 토론하는 행사입니다. 이 행사는 다양한 주제에 관한 지식도 쌓고, 영어 실력도 높이면서 글로벌 체험을 하는 좋은 기회를 한국 대학생들에게 드리기 위해 기획되었습니다.
